Meet Our Committee

Crompton FC's Committee comprises of a dedicated group of people who have a wealth of experience in grassroots football, at organisational, management and coaching levels.

Steve Grice

Chairman

Steve has been involved in grassroots football for over 35 years.  He  has coached all ages of teams from 4 year old Academy players up to Open Age.

Michelle Cooper

 Club Secretary
Michelle first got involved in 2000 when her daughter started playing.  From there she managed 2 teams in the Oldham Girls League.  She then took on the role of League Secretary and has been in that role ever since, when the league became the North Manchester Girls League.
She was also involved in the West Riding League as registrations secretary and also ran an open age team. 
Michelle now concentrates her time on the NMGL and her new role at Crompton FC.

​Scott Pollinger

Vice Chairman

Scott has been involved in football all his life, he started coaching while still playing at the age of 19 .
He was involved as a coach at Chadderton Grasshoppers until his son and most of his team where scouted by professional clubs, he started coaching again at Heyside Angels when his daughter started playing and managed the most successful Heyside Girls team ever with over 20 major honours over a 9-year period.
He also coached an under 17 and 19 boys team until the team disbanded as players left for University finishing runners up in both the league and two cups in their final season
Scott works in construction management as a development coordinator a skill which he brings to the club

TRACEY POLLINGER
​Chief Finance Officer

Tracey's family have been involved in grassroot football for over 13 years.  It all started when her son joined "Chadderton Grasshoppers" and then her daughter started playing for "Heyside Angels Blues".
She is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and currently the Finance Director at a large company.

Andrea Beverley

Fundraising & Events
Andrea's involvement with grass roots football started in 2005 when her eldest daughter started playing for our local club, her youngest daughter started playing in 2008  and will be playing for our U17s’ team this season.
From being a parent watching, she then became a volunteer in roles such as admin to the manager from U10’s to Open age, welfare officer and events co-ordinator , she has also been involved in the Oldham Girls league  / North Manchester Girls League as a committee member for approx 7 years.

Damon has been involved in grassroots football for over 12 years and has coached teams of all ages from U9's to Open Age.

Registrations Secretary

Steve also  first got involved in 2000 when his daughter started playing.  From there, with Michelle, he managed 2 teams in the Oldham Girls League.  He then took on the role of fixtures Secretary and has been in that role ever since, when the league became the North Manchester Girls League.
Steve was also involved in the West Riding League as fixtures secretary and ran the open age team with Michelle
Steve is also a qualified referee and now continues to be fixtures secretary for the NMGL as well as his new role at Crompton FC

Dan Haynes

Recruitment

Dan's coached for 5 years and is still involved in the club, helping out with th epitch plus watching his beloved Latics.  
Dan won the Steve Lynch Award in July for NMGL coach  of the 2016-17 season.

Chris Leach​

Chris has been involved in grassroots football since 2009 when his eldest daughter started playing.  
​From starting with a team of 3 players Chris is now coaching 32 players in the 2 teams that his eldest 2 girls play for whilst his youngest girl also plays for Crompton FC.

Rachael has now been coaching for a few seasons with her Dad Scott. The  Butterflies and Rainbows players have a great relationship with her.  Rachael played all the way from U9's  to  the clubs Open Age Ladies Team and she now  plays for Hepworth United in the West Riding League on Sundays.  In addition, Rachael is now studying at Edgehill University and is also a qualified Referee, officiating in the NMGL.
